As the search for AirAsia Flight 8501 continues for a third day, Indonesian authorities have announced they have found debris and bodies from the passenger jet that went missing three days ago with 162 people on board.

The Indonesian Navy found objects suspected to be an emergency door and underwater objects resembling a plane, F.H. Bambang Sulistyo, head of the national search and rescue agency, said in Jakarta. At least six bodies were found and three were retrieved, TVOne reported.

The crash site is in an area around Pangkalan Bun, about 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) southeast of Singapore.
